Hi Kim,
Wow. I feel kind of silly, having just turned 39, writing to you. I've been a big
fan of yours since "Nanny and the Professor." I even toughed it out in a major
snowstorm to get to the theatre to see "Tuff Turf" when it first came out! You were
a major inspiration in my aspirations to be an actress. Also, my childhood was
tumultuous and your "presence" and inspiration helped me stay positive and focused
through some difficult times. Well, I've since lost interest in acting, but I
followed your career throughout, always making sure to watch everything you were in
(and, wow, you were in a lot!). Good for you that you made it through and fared
well through the life of a child star (unlike some of your less-fortunate
counterparts) and that people like me, who you've inspired, are able to know what
you're up to in your life and that you seem to be happy. Your children are
beautiful! Thanks for the positive contribution you made to my childhood...and my
whole life, really. I wish you all the best in your life!

It's early on an icy morning, and I'm an incurable insomniac. I was doing
some surfing, and I discovered that I'm not the only person who was obsessed with
"Escape to Witch Mountain" when I was a kid. I wanted the perfect long hair (never
got it), my parents to rename me "Tia" (they didn't), telepathic and telekenetic
powers (no such luck) and a cuddly black cat named Winky ( his name turned out to be
Onyx). I always smile (and still envy the hair) when I see one of your old
appearances on TV, and hope that you get back into showbiz in a real way very soon!
